EDE 4.0 is a cloud-based decision support system for foresters. The project will provide dynamic decision support for planting and logging and different species by combining expert forestry knowledge, the latest climate models, and local and global forestry data. Artificial intelligence and foresters on the ground work hand in hand with EDE 4.0 to meet the challenges of climate change.
At this year's Hannover Messe, Dr Thomas Freudenmann, co-founder and CEO of EDI GmbH - Engineering Data Intelligence had the opportunity to present the project. He was supported by Dr. Hans Schipper from the KIT's South German Climate Office as project partner.
The presentation of the EDE 4.0 project by Dr Freudenmann and Dr Hans Schipper is now available in full length as a video on our YouTube channel.
