At the expert forum for virtual test drives "IPG Apply & Innovate", which took place from 21 - 22 September 2022, Dr Thomas Freudenmann, Co-Managing Director and co-founder of EDI GmbH, had the opportunity to present the RELAI project.
The RELAI project - Risk Estimation with a Learning AI - aims to analyse real scenarios in road traffic and the driving behaviour necessary for safe driving. For this purpose, not only the official traffic rules are taken into account, but also the traffic behaviour of other road users. The results are virtual training & test scenarios for testing the driving behaviour of autonomously driving vehicles.
