The expert forum for virtual test drives "IPG Apply Innovate" will take place from 20 - 21 September 2022 at the Konzerthaus Karlsruhe. 12 exhibitors and 42 speakers will provide information on the topic of virtual test drives.
Dr. Thomas Freudenmann Co-CEO and co-founder of EDI GmbH is one of the speakers. On 20.09.22, he will present the RELAI project in his presentation "Risk Assessment in Autonomous Driving for the Creation of Virtual Test Scenarios - an Innovative Tool for the Validation of Sensors and Driving Functions" from 11:30 -12:00 in the small hall.
The RELAI project - Risk Estimation with a Learning AI - aims to analyse real road traffic scenarios and the driving behaviour necessary for safe driving. For this purpose, not only the official traffic rules are taken into account, but also the traffic behaviour of other road users. The result is virtual training & test scenarios for testing the driving behaviour of autonomously driving vehicles.
The partners of the project are Fraunhofer IOSB, Fraunhofer IAO, University Stuttgart and IPG. The project is funded by the mFUND of the BMVI.
