At this year's Hannover Messe, Dr Thomas Freudenmann, co-founder and managing director of EDI GmbH - Engineering Data Intelligence, will have the opportunity to present the EDE. 4.0 project together with the Süddeutsches Klimabüro of the KIT as a project partner. The focus of the presentation with following discussion will be the application of climate models in forestry.
EDE 4.0 is a cloud-based decision support system for foresters. The project will provide dynamic decision support for logging and planting of different species by combining forestry expertise, latest climate models, and local and global forest data. Artificial intelligence and foresters on the ground in the forest work hand in hand with EDE 4.0 to meet the challenges of climate change.
