At Stackconf: The Open Source Infrastructure Conference, which takes place in Berlin from 19-20 July, the two co-founders of EDI GmbH Thomas Freudenmann (Managing Director) and Heinrich Blatt (Technical Director) will use two examples to show how projects can be realised quickly and cost-effectively through the use of open source software.
EDI GmbH excels in process monitoring, control and optimisation through artificial intelligence (AI) with EDGE/cloud-based infrastructures as a platform ecosystem. The focus is on the Jobs-To-Be-Done of the users, according to the motto "AI with people for people". The white-box framework EDI hive is the basis for future-proof business models with customised software solutions. We use open source technologies like Kubernetes with Zipkin, Graylog, Prometheus as well as ArgoCI and StreamPipes to focus on the development of our users' Jobs-To-Be-Done. With our trusted partners such as NETWAYS, we bring these open source components to life.
As an example of this strong cooperation, Thomas Freudenmann and Heinrich Blatt will present the Well-Being Barometer on Thursday, 20.07.22 at 15:15 - 16:00 in the room Barcelona. The Well-Being Barometer is a solution for seniors who live alone or in an assisted living facility and who still manage their daily lives independently. The well-being barometer detects the current well-being of the seniors. Caregivers and relatives are informed immediately of any changes. This prevents accidents and makes seniors feel safe at all times.
From the bi.smart project, which aims at the integrated design of smart product service systems for SMEs, the two present the use case of Unicorn. EDI GmbH's solution for Unicorn's trendsetting energy concepts based on battery storage systems are another excellent example of how an initial implementation for a customised software solution could be realised quickly and cost-effectively by using standard modules.
